The Litchfield by the Sea project

Waterbridge Contractors of the Carolinas built a new deck and dune crossover for beach access at Litchfield by the Sea in Litchfield Beach, SC.
The project joins two parts of the oceanfront setting: a broad deck overlooking the water and a raised walkway across the dune. Stairs complete the connection down to the beach.
In the photos, you can follow the timber railing from the deck toward the ocean. Posts support the crossover above the sand and vegetation, defining a path through the dune area. The crossover keeps the route to the beach on the raised walkway through the dune area.
The deck and crossover work together. One provides space at the oceanfront; the other carries the route onward to the sand. Looking at the whole connection helps explain this project more clearly than a close-up of decking alone.
