The company story

Waterfront work started with hands-on experience

Waterbridge was founded in 2013 by Ricky Horne, a Navy veteran and marine construction expert. Ricky brought 30+ years of marine construction experience into the company. That is personal trade experience, separate from Waterbridge's history as a business.

The company was built to handle more than one piece of a waterfront project. A new dock may depend on access, piling, electrical work, a boat lift, a seawall connection, engineering, and several permit authorities. When those parts are divided among different companies, the owner is left coordinating the gaps.

Waterbridge gives the owner one accountable team for the connected work. We assess the property, explain the practical options, coordinate design and permits, and build for the conditions at that site. The goal is simple: make the next decision clear and make the finished work hold up.

That approach applies to residential docks and repairs, HOA and marina work, seawalls and bulkheads, piers, boat lifts, dune walkovers, decks, and the smaller details that determine whether the whole project works together.

How we approach the work

The property tells us what the project needs

A plan that works on one creek, inlet, lake, or oceanfront lot may be wrong for the next one. We start with the conditions that will keep testing the structure after the crew leaves.

01

Read the waterfront

Tide, soil, exposure, existing structures, boat use, access, and erosion all shape the right scope.

02

Explain the choices

Repair, replacement, materials, permits, and connected work are discussed before the estimate becomes a commitment.

03

Coordinate the details

Waterbridge handles permit navigation and coordinates the design, engineering, and construction pieces the job requires.

04

Build for the site

The finished structure is built around real water conditions, marine-grade materials, and the way the owner will use it.

Specific proof, not broad promises

Licensed, insured, and responsible for the whole scope

From licensing and insurance to pricing and warranty coverage, the details are visible before work begins.

  1. Free estimates and analysis

A property assessment starts with the structure, shoreline, access, and the result you want from the water.

  2. Clear project pricing

The written scope explains the work being priced so you can review the decision before construction begins.

  3. Veteran-owned

Waterbridge was founded by Navy veteran Ricky Horne and remains grounded in responsibility, preparation, and follow-through.

  4. Quality workmanship

Marine-grade materials and site-specific construction matter because salt, tide, soil, wind, and use keep testing the work.

  5. Dual licensed

Waterbridge holds Marine Contractor MR5 and General Contractor BD5 licenses for work in South Carolina and North Carolina.

  6. Bonded and insured

The company carries the professional protections expected for substantial residential, commercial, HOA, and marina projects.

Waterbridge three-year guarantee

Protection after completion

A 3-year labor and workmanship warranty

Waterbridge's written warranty covers defects in labor and workmanship for three years after substantial completion, subject to the terms of the project warranty. It is a defined commitment, not a general promise that everything near the water is maintenance-free.

Local water, local judgment

Serving Horry, Georgetown, and Brunswick Counties

Waterbridge is based in Murrells Inlet and works across the Grand Strand and nearby North Carolina coast. The service area includes tidal creeks, inlets, the Intracoastal Waterway, oceanfront lots, marinas, and residential communities.

Local familiarity matters. Permit paths, soil, exposure, access, tidal range, and neighborhood requirements can change from one town to the next.
