Cypress all around.
Waterbridge Contractors of the Carolinas built new pier walkways and covered piers at The Park at Prince Creek in Murrells Inlet, South Carolina.
The walkways run over the water through cypress groves. Timber railings follow the turns in the deck, leading to covered spaces set among the tree trunks. The surrounding water and trees remain part of the view from the walkway.
Waterbridge used top-down construction for the walkways and piers. The completed project brings the walking route and covered gathering spaces together in this waterfront setting.
Inside the covered pier, built-in timber benches provide a place to sit. The open sides keep the view into the grove, while the roof defines a sheltered stopping point along the route.
