The project

Connecting the community
with its waterfront.

Waterbridge Contractors of the Carolinas built bridges, bulkheads, fishing decks, and pier walkways at Living Dunes at 82nd in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The work brings several parts of the community’s waterfront together. Timber bridges cross the ponds, while pier walkways follow the banks. Fishing decks extend out over the water, and bulkheads form the pond edges beside them.

Timber posts, decking, and horizontal cable railings give the bridges and walkways a consistent appearance. The open railings preserve views across the ponds as people move through the community. At the fishing decks, the walkway opens into a space to stop beside the water.
